goldzgym@aol.com

Dick Glass, along with Mark Hammersmith, are the proud owners and coaches of the Chicago Force Hockey Team. Dick
not only has coached for many years but in his younger days was himself on Junior Hockey Teams. He played with the Chicago Nordiques Junior A,
the St. Cloud MN Junior A and the U.S. Junior National Team. Unfortunately, a spinal injury from hockey curtailed the rest of his hockey playing days.
To fill the void left after retiring from playing hockey, Dick began coaching all ages of youth hockey at the Northwest Chargers
in Rolling Meadows. Dick coached at the Chargers for almost 23 years at all different age levels from mites to midgets. His last 2 years
with the Chargers were spent coaching the Central States Midget Major team. Some of his players had moved up to playing on the Chicago Force,
now have moved on to play in college. While Dick was coaching at the Chargers, he also coached the St. Viator High School Team.
In addition to his
coaching duties, Dick has served on numerous committees associated with hockey. He was the President of the Northwest Chargers Hockey Organization
which started in 1985. What began with a total of 6 teams, grew under Dick's leadership to 22 teams with over 350 players. Dick was also the President
of the Central States Developmental Hockey League. The CSDHL is an elite Tier II league in the Midwest comprised of 65 teams. From 1996-2002 Dick was on the AHAI
(Amateur Hockey Association of Illinois) Board serving on many committees such as Rules and Ethics, Player Development, Hich School Committee and many others. He was
the General Manager of the 2000 Illinois Showcase Team and went on to be the USA Hockey Team Leader of the Central District Select 17's.
